Some of these include registration deadlines, application deadlines, orientation dates, and start and end dates for classes. Western also has a number of holidays that they observe, which are generally listed on the academic calendar. Western Important Dates for First-Year Students

June 3, 2022 – First-year residence prepayment due

June 3, 2022 – Residence Placement Questionnaire due

June 11, 2022 – Course registration for first-year begins

June 13, 2022 – Changes to building preferences closed

June 13, 2022 – Roommate selection closed

Late July – Building assignment available online

August 2, 2022 – Last day to cancel your residence and receive a refund of $450 (half of the residence prepayment of $900)

August 2, 2022 – First installment of residence and tuition fees due

August 2, 2022 – Deadline to complete the Residence Onboarding Process

August 31–September 1, 2022 – International Student move-in days

September 2–5, 2022 – Domestic Student move-in days

September 8, 2022 – Fall term classes begin

September 15, 2022 – Tenant Insurance Opt-out deadline

September 30, 2022 – Residence Events Pass Opt-out deadline

December 1, 2022 – Second installment of residence and tuition fees due
