UofT Engineering Admission Average
Your academic history and grades are an integral part of your application to U of T Engineering.
The Admissions Committee for Engineering will consider your overall academic history through a holistic approach. An 85% average is the typical admission average requirement for U of T; however, each program has a different average required for admission.
The average entering grades of first-year students at UofT is over 91% making it very competitive to apply! We recommend, for Engineering programs, that you strive for an average of over 90% in order to gain a competitive advantage for admissions.
Make sure to use your time effectively in your last year of high school to really boost your GPA — keep yourself organized and stay on top of your assignments, it will pay off greatly when it comes time for university admissions!
But note that the admission average isn’t everything; each candidate will be carefully considered by U of T based on a review of academic credentials and your extracurricular activities and involvement, which you will describe when you complete the Online Student Profile (aka the supplemental application).
