Queen’s Bursaries: Overview
Arry Pandher - June 28th, 2022
Queen’s offers several financial aid options to help students meet the costs of their education. Queen’s Bursaries are awarded based on financial need and are available to full-time and part-time students. Queen’s also offers a variety of scholarships and bursaries to recognize academic achievement and support students with demonstrated financial need.
Difference Between a Bursary and Grant
Queen’s offers several bursaries and grants to help students with the costs of their education. These awards are often need-based, meaning they are typically awarded to students who demonstrate financial need. On the other hand, Queen’s Grants are merit-based, meaning they are usually awarded to students who have achieved academic excellence. Both types of awards are available to full-time and part-time students. Bursaries awarded can be used to cover the costs of tuition, books, and living expenses, while university Grants can be used to cover the cost of tuition only. Students who receive Queen’s Bursaries or Grants do not need to repay the money.
