The University of Alberta strives to provide its students with the best possible educational experience. In order to do this, they have several important dates that students need to be aware of. Some of these include registration deadlines, application deadlines, orientation dates, and start and end dates for classes. UofA also has a number of holidays that they observe, which are generally listed on the academic calendar. Students need to be aware of these important dates to plan their schedules accordingly and make the most of their time at UofA.

Applications open for programs with a Spring/Summer 2022 start date.

Application-based Entrance Scholarship Deadline

February 1, 2022

All students can submit new final high school marks in application.

Deadline to submit Program Change Request form.

March 1, 2022

Deadline to submit admission application for most programs.

Applications open for programs with a Winter 2023 start date.

Deadline to accept admission offer for Fall 2022 Juris Doctor (Law) program. The deposit is $1000 which is applied to tuition upon the start of classes in September. View this page for deadline information.

Deadline to submit final and official transcripts for post-secondary transfer applicants who received offers after June 1, 2022 from the following faculties:

• Agricultural, Life and Environmental Sciences
• Arts
• Augustana
• Alberta School of Business 
• Engineering
• Kinesiology, Sport, and Recreation
• Native Studies
• Nursing
• Science
• Campus Saint-Jean

Applicants are encouraged to submit their final and official transcripts as soon as possible. No extensions will be allowed.

Deadline to submit outstanding documents for high school students. For Alberta applicants, high school transcripts are automatically obtained on your behalf and are typically received by the Registrar’s Office in early August.
