You can complete your UBC Bachelor’s degree studies alongside the UBC Bachelor of Education. The dual degree option is the most popular Education program; it is completed in five years with reduced credits rather than the traditional four years plus one-year degree path to the BEd degree. After completing all the requirements, you will be eligible for a British Columbia Professional Teaching Certificate.
The UBC Education program offers a wide variety of courses to help students become effective educators. Classes cover topics such as child development, teaching methods, and educational psychology. In addition, students can choose to specialize in a particular area of education, such as early childhood education or special education. With so many courses to choose from, students can tailor their education to meet their specific goals. Whether they want to become primary school teachers or university professors, the UBC Education program can provide them with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed.
