Getting Around McMaster

Public Transportation

McMaster University is a large campus, and getting around can be daunting for first-time visitors. The good news is that there are plenty of options for transportation, both on and off campus. The university offers a free shuttle bus service that runs between the main campus and the nearby McMaster Hospital. For students who live on campus, there are also bicycles available for rent.

For those who prefer to walk, the campus is well-connected with a network of pedestrian pathways. There are also a number of local buses that run to and from the university, making it easy to explore the surrounding area. Parking at McMaster

McMaster University has a variety of parking options to suit the needs of students, faculty, staff and visitors. The Main Campus has several parking lots, all of which are overseen by the Parking Services department. Lot M is the largest lot on campus and is located next to the McMaster Children’s Hospital. Lot P is a pay-and-display lot that is open to the public. Lots A and B are reserved for faculty and staff, while Lots C and D are meant for students. There are also a number of metered street parking spots available around campus. In addition, the university also offers a Park & Ride service for students who live off campus.
