McGill Public Transportation
McGill University students, staff, and faculty members can take advantage of the McGill Transportation system to get around campus. The McGill Transportation system includes a shuttle bus service and a bicycle-sharing program. The shuttle bus service operates on weekdays during the academic year, and it runs between the McGill campus and downtown Montreal. The McGill Transportation system also includes a bicycle-sharing program that operates on weekdays during the academic year. This program provides bicycles for use by McGill University students, staff, and faculty members. McGill University students, staff, and faculty members can also use the McGill Transit App to plan their trips and to find out about updates to the McGill Transportation system.
Parking at McGill
McGill University is located in downtown Montreal, in an area with limited parking. There are four main options for parking on campus: 1) street parking; 2) metered parking; 3) pay and display parking, and 4) permit parking. Street parking is available on many streets surrounding McGill, but it can be difficult to find a spot during peak hours. Metered parking is available in some lots on campus, and the rates vary depending on the time of day. Pay and display parking is available in all visitor lots, and the rates are posted at the entrance to each lot. Permit parking is available for students, faculty, and staff, and permits can be purchased online or at the Parking Office.
