When does Wilfrid Laurier send acceptances?

  1. Ontario Secondary School Applicants: Admission decisions are made on an ongoing basis between December and May. All offers of admission are conditional until final grades are received by the Recruitment and Admissions office in July. Dates will vary depending on the time of year and your progress in your Grade 12 year.
  2. Admissions decisions are made on an ongoing basis. The university must receive your required documents before they can assess your application. An admission decision is typically made within three to four weeks of Laurier receiving your complete application. For competitive programs, admission decisions may take longer than four weeks.

What to do while you wait?

After completing your application, make sure to:

  1. Submit Your Required Documents: You’ll find a list of documents they require to assess your application in LORIS. These may include transcripts and/or proof of English proficiency. Transcripts and required documents must be submitted electronically no later than May 12, 2022.
  2. Strengthen Your Application: You should submit an Applicant Background Summary (ABS) form within two weeks of applying. The last date to submit is April 27, 2022.
  3. Apply for an Entrance Bursary: You are also encouraged to apply for an entrance bursary. You could be eligible to receive up to $1,500 for your first year at Laurier. The deadline to apply is April 27, 2022.
  4. Watch for an Application Update: Make sure to check your email and your LORIS account constantly.
  5. Do some extra research on Laurier, you can take campus tours, talk to students from the university, check the specific courses they offer, view their residence, and even talk to professors from the university! This will help you learn more about the school and will probably help calm your nerves!

How will you receive your acceptance?

Laurier University will email you when you receive an admission decision. Your official offer of admission letter will be posted in LORIS.

How to accept your offer?

The deadline to accept your offer is June 1, 2022, at 11:59 p.m. ET, unless another date is stated on your offer letter. There are several types of OUAC applications. The instructions below are intended to help you determine where to accept your offer

  1. Ontario high school applicant: You applied using the 101 Application on the Ontario Universities’ Application Centre (OUAC) website. To use this application, you must have received an OUAC pin number from your high school. To successfully accept your offer of admission:
    1. Log in to the OUAC 101 Application.
    2. Click “Accept” to accept the offer
    3. Click “I’m ready to submit my response/changes.”
    4. Verify your application information, review the Applicant’s Declaration and click “I verify and agree.”
    5. You will receive a confirmation number by email along with a summary of your responses to offers of admission and/or changes to your application information immediately. Keep this email for your records.
    6. Once your response is processed and you are able to log back into your application, you will see “Accepted” beside the program you accepted.It may take 1-3 business days to process your response.
  2. Other Canadian or International Applicants: You applied using the 105 Application on the Ontario Universities’ Application Centre (OUAC) website. This application is for Canadian residents and international applicants not currently attending an Ontario high school. To successfully accept your offer of admission:
    1. Log in to the OUAC 105 Application
    2. Click “Accept” to accept the offer
    3. Click “I’m ready to submit my response/changes.”
    4. Verify your application information, review the Applicant’s Declaration and click “I verify and agree.”
    5. You will receive a confirmation number by email along with a summary of your responses to offers of admission and/or changes to your application information. Keep this email for your records.
    6. Once your response is processed and you are able to log back into your application, you will see “Accepted” beside the program you accepted. It may take 1-3 business days to process your response.

What if your admission was denied?

Before giving up, try to understand why your admission might have been denied. Go through your application once more and check what might have been missing or if there were any documents that didn’t upload properly.
