When does the University of Windsor send acceptances?

Now that you’ve applied to your dream university, here are the steps you need to take 🚀:

STEP 1: REVIEW YOUR OFFER 📮

Review your Offer of Admission letter and verify your program. You’ll also want to take note of any conditions to your offer of admission and complete them by the date indicated in your letter.

UWindsor intends to make admission offers to most programs from early November to July.

How do I view my admission to an undergraduate program at UWindsor?

Undergraduate applicants can view their offer of admission to the University of Windsor in UWinsite Student. To locate your offer of admission, follow these simple steps:

  1. In your web browser, preferably Google Chrome, go to www.uwindsor.ca/uwinsitestudent.
  2. Click the blue SIGN IN TO UWINSITE STUDENT button.
  3. On the Sign in screen, enter (or select) your UWinID@uwindsor.ca. Click the Next button.
  4. On the Enter password screen, enter your UWin Account password. Click the Sign in button.
  5. On your Applicant Homepage, click the Admissions tile.
  6. On your Application Status page, click the View Decision Letter link.
  7. Your offer of admission letter will open in a new tab in your web browser.

STEP 2: ACCEPT YOUR OFFER 📨

Follow the instructions in your University of Windsor Offer of Admission letter that explains how to confirm your acceptance. Make sure you’ve completed this by the date indicated on your Offer of Admission.

How do I accept my offer to an undergraduate program at UWindsor?

Applicants need to respond to their offer of admission in the manner outlined in their offer letter.

Responding to an offer through OUAC: Applicants directed to respond to their offer of admission through the Ontario Universities’ Application Centre (OUAC) can do so at www.ouac.on.ca.

Responding to an offer through UWinsite Student

Applicants directed to respond to their offer of admission through UWinsite Student can indicate their decision by following the steps below:

  1. In your web browser, preferably Google Chrome, go to www.uwindsor.ca/uwinsitestudent.
  2. Click the blue SIGN IN TO UWINSITE STUDENT button.
  3. On the Sign in screen, enter (or select) your UWinID@uwindsor.ca. Click the Next button.
  4. On the Enter password screen, enter your UWin Account password. Click the Sign in button.
  5. On your Applicant Homepage, click the Admissions tile.
  6. On your Application Status page, click the Accept or Decline button.
  7. In the pop-up box, confirm your decision by clicking Yes.

STEP 3: SET UP YOUR MULTI-FACTOR AUTHENTICATION (MFA) OPTIONS 💻

UWindsor uses MFA to verify the identity of individuals accessing their protected online resources from off-campus. You need to set up your MFA options before extending your UWin Account or signing in to UWinsite Student to plan your courses. Please click here for more details.

STEP 4: EXTEND YOUR UWIN ACCOUNT & SETUP UWINDSOR EMAIL 👩🏻‍💻👨🏻‍💻

Gain access to your UWindsor email, the University’s online learning system, the full suite of Microsoft products and other important campus resources. After you’ve extended your UWin account, the University of Windsor will send all email communications to your UWindsor email. ****Please visit this website for more details.

STEP 5: VERIFY YOUR UWINSITE STUDENT HOMEPAGE ACTIVATION 👩🏻‍💻👨🏻‍💻

Your Student Homepage in UWinsite Student will be activated a few weeks before registration opens (Late May 2021 for Fall 2021 term). You’ll know your Student Homepage is activated when you can select it from the “Homepage” dropdown.

STEP 6: VISIT THE UNIVERSITY’S NEW STUDENT REGISTRATION INFO FOR FALL 2021 🖥

STEP 7: PLAN YOUR COURSES 🗓

Start planning your courses once your Shopping Cart is active in UWinsite Student. You’ll know you can start adding classes to your Shopping Cart when you see the small arrow next to class sections when using the Class Search and Enroll. Visit this website for more details.

STEP 8: REGISTER FOR YOUR CLASSES 📚

Register for your classes in UWinsite Student. Get the best selection by registering early. Start choosing your courses here!

STEP 9: UPLOAD A PHOTO FOR YOUR UWINCARD 🎫

Your UwinCARD is your official UWindsor student identification card. Upload your photo, and your UwinCARD will be mailed to you.

STEP 10: ATTEND ORIENTATION 🏫

Make a smooth transition to UWindsor. Attend one of the university’s three virtual Head Start dates for faculty presentations, campus resources fair, and an opportunity to connect with academic advisors! Check here for more information.

STEP 11: ATTEND WELCOME WEEK 🎉

Make new friends and connect with your professors, staff, and returning student leaders. Get valuable tips from senior students. You can also join your faculty team to compete for the coveted Lancer Shield!
