After You’ve Applied to Concordia University

Once you pay and submit your application to Concordia University (Montreal, Quebec, Canada) you will receive a confirmation email within 24 hours with an attached PDF copy of your application. This email will include an eight-digit student ID number that you will use throughout your studies should you be accepted at Concordia. If you didn’t get the confirmation email (and you can’t find it in your junk mail folder either), call the administration office at 514-848-2424, extension 2668 or email study@concordia.ca. They will send you your student ID number.

When can you expect a decision?

There are a number of factors:

  • Whether you submit your application and required supporting documents by the application deadline
  • If your program has additional requirements such as an audition, a portfolio, an interview, etc., in which case a committee will review your submission only after the official application deadline.

Remember that they cannot make a decision on your application until they have received all of the required supporting documents. The timelines listed above are based on applications and supporting material received by the deadline.

Documents and “To Do List”

You’ll see the documents required to evaluate your application for admission in your “To Do List” on the right-hand side of your Student Centre on MyConcordia.ca. These may appear as “To Do” items, even though you submitted the documents when you applied. The list will be updated after your file has been reviewed, which may take up to 10 working days.

You can always click the “List of Documents Received” link to make sure your documents were uploaded when you applied. Keep in mind that Fine Arts portfolios will not appear on this list.

Check your application status online

You can also keep tabs on your application status online. Log into MyConcordia.ca and go to My Student Centre.

Offers of Admission

If you can see through My Student Centre that you have been admitted, congratulations! You will soon receive your Offer of Admission via email. Once you receive the email, you will be able to access the Offer of Admission online. You will not receive a hard copy by mail. Concordia communicates admission decisions to you by email – not over the phone. Please double check your email junk folder if you have not received any emails from Concordia.
