UBC Sauder High School Requirements

These required courses are classes you must take in high school in order to be considered for UBC Sauder. Without these courses, you will not be eligible to apply to UBC Sauder.

The courses you need to take while in Grade 11 or 12 for UBC Sauder include:

  • English 12
  • Math Principles 12/Pre-Calculus 12
  • Calculus 12/AP Calculus
    • This course is not required, but it is HIGHLY recommended as you will be required to take Calculus in First Year, and if you’ve never taken it before, you will struggle with the course.

Note about Math:

To be admissible to Year 1 of the BCom program, you must have completed or be in the process of completing Senior Level Math. If you are completing a BC high school curriculum, the required math is Pre-Calculus 12 (Foundations of Mathematics 12 and Calculus 12 are NOT acceptable substitutes). Many students find that taking a secondary school calculus course helps them succeed in our first year Math course; it is strongly recommended!
