A Message from Madison
Madison Guy - February 28th, 2022
Hi there 👋
My name is Madison Guy and I’m the COO and Founder of GrantMe. And I’d like to tell you a story…
When I was in high school, I was stressed about getting into my top choice school. And I didn’t know how I would pay for it.
I was feeling the pressure that so many students face these days.
I was trying to figure out how to do it on my own. But I lacked the guidance. And all the information out there was so confusing. I was worried I couldn’t do it.
But I knew that my education would create a future full of options and that I had to turn that pressure and uncertainty into possibility.
So I got to work.
What did I do? Through countless hours of research, I perfected a system to look for and apply to scholarships.
The sad part was that I found scholarships that I could have applied to earlier – as early as Grade 9. There were a lot of missed opportunities because I didn’t start earlier.
However, after hundreds of hours of research and constant effort… I was able to win $50,000 in funding to cover the rest of my tuition at UBC. Not only that, my efforts were being noticed by my fellow classmates, and I began helping them pay for school too.
Soon enough, I realized that I had a knack for this. Meanwhile, I realized that a lack of education planning was a big problem for students today. And that with the right plan, students can choose the right school, get in, and then win the money to pay for it.
Shortly after this revelation, I founded GrantMe in 2017 to help other students plan their education. We built a team to help more students plan their education to reduce uncertainty and create more options for a brighter future.
To date, we’ve connected students to over $5 million in scholarships, grants and bursaries. We have also helped thousands of students get into their top-choice school, land their dream internships, and successfully transition to their careers. And I’m super proud to say that the Forbes 30 Under 30 group took notice of our mission in 2021 and I was fortunate enough to be named to that list on behalf of GrantMe and our students.
When students and families come to us, they’re feeling the pressure. Planning futures is a big deal. That’s why we put students at the centre of everything we do. Our students feel cared for thanks to our proven processes, our best-in-class tracking technology, and our attentive team. We’re not just creating educational pathways; we’re paving the way for maximum potential.
These days, students still face the same problems that I did. We built GrantMe’s education consulting programs to fill this gap. Here’s how we do it:
How to get access to our Student Success System
Booking the Consultation
The first step to joining GrantMe’s education planning platform is to schedule an consultation with one of GrantMe’s Educators. This consultation is complimentary and will be done with both you and your parents to cover the planning and funding of your education for the next 5 years. Your parents’ involvement in this portion of your GrantMe journey is integral to your success since they are key decision-makers in your education planning.
The consultation will give you an idea of what is realistic for you to win and where you can get admitted based on your resume, academics, and experience, as well as if you’re a good fit for GrantMe’s education consulting programs.
Your Consultation
After your consultation, you’ll be offered a spot if you are a fit for our program. If not, we’ll send you some free resources to help you plan your education! Our goal is to create a future full of options for you regardless of whether our Student Success System is a fit for you.
As your future partner, I hope my story resonated with you in some way and that you feel empowered to take action to secure your future. It wasn’t so long ago that I was in your shoes – and I’m proud to be able to say that today GrantMe is here to serve you in paving the way for your maximum potential.
